This morning in prayer, the Lord impressed upon me the words “today’s Wind”….
TODAY – Seek and receive “today’s Wind, not yesterday’s Wind (not what the Lord has done before), not tomorrow’s Wind (not what the Lord is going to do in the future). Simply, today….this day….right now.
Matthew 6 reminds us not to be anxious for tomorrow as well as “give us this day, our daily bread,” and in Exodus 16:16-21, the Lord provided Manna on a daily basis, which the Israelites were instructed and warned not to collect ahead of time.
Wind – Capital ‘W’ reminds us that it is Divine and Holy, the Holy Spirit. John 3:8 says, “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So, it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” We cannot see it, but we can see the effects of it – like how a tree bends under the wind’s blow.
In the closing of my prayer, I was reminded of bulb flowers, such as tulips. They need the freeze and the dormancy. In my research, I found: “This triggers the biochemical process necessary to bring the bulb to flower in the spring.” That’s incredible!
