Day 41 – Spread the Word
A Christ Community Message
Rejoice in the Son
Daily Worship Song – Who You Say I Am by Hillsong Worship
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD!
Praise to You, O’ Son of God, that rises in our hearts today! The breath of Your Spirit breathes life in us. So with that breath of life, we rejoice in the One who created all things. We choose to live this day with a song of praise in our hearts. Therefore, we lift our hands to the Son and we sing of our redemption and Your unfailing love. For we sing with liberated hearts! Yes, Lord, let Your freedom reign in us!
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Your Spirit lives and is alive in all who call upon Your name. You are in our thoughts, in our hearts, and in our attitudes. We shall praise the One who is the Spirit of Life within us. We shall sing, and dance, and praise, and love for Your Spirit is Alive and at work in Your children. Yes, Lord, because of You, we are free indeed!
2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Your word warns us of our enemy’s tactics, for he is always walking around seeking to devour (1 Peter 5:8) our peace, our joy, and our song. He schemes and deceives to keep us entangled with a yoke of bondage with the goal to weigh us down with regret and shame. But if we resist the devil (1 Peter 5:9) and turn to the Lord, holding steadfast in our liberty, we will continue to rejoice in the truth of our salvation and the proclamation of Your faithfulness.
I will sing of Your steadfast love, O Lord, forever; with my mouth I will proclaim Your faithfulness to all generations!
Lord, even now as all things seem to be shaken in this generation, we sing of Your steadfast love. Like an earthquake, this season of pause is shaking the old as we have known it and inviting us to learn new and greater ways of experiencing You and one another deeper than we have ever known before. You are opening the doors of our prisons of selfishness and pride to release us to the freedom found in a life of humility and meekness. You are moving the foundations of our existence, breaking the chains of our imprisonment, and setting us free to live abundantly in You and with each other. You have already set us free, and You are continuing to set us free from all that imprisons us. We are to live our lives as free people, not as ones who are bound, trapped, entangled, and shaken.
Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.
Lord Jesus, although we live in a time where everything around us seems to be unstable and uncertain, we are steady in You. As You reset and remove stones, You are accelerating the times. And quickly, what needs to fall is falling, and at the same time, what needs to remain continues to stand. This is a time where You are inviting us to remove our masks to genuinely represent You to those we serve with purity, justice and humility. Lord, it seems like we hear You say, “The time is at hand – turn, turn, turn!”
Yes, Lord, let us turn from the ways of this world and turn to You. It is time for us to put off the resemblance of this world and reflect Your glory to all who do not know You and Your mercy. We want the whole world to know how good You are to Your people, so they too will know Your love and sing of Your goodness in their lives.
I have been young, and now am old;
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken,
Nor his descendants begging bread.
He is ever merciful, and lends;
And his descendants are blessed.
Depart from evil, and do good;
And dwell forevermore.
For the LORD loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
The righteous shall inherit the land,
And dwell in it forever.
Lord, thank You for the promise of the saints. You will never forsake us nor shall we ever beg for bread, for You supply spiritual nourishment that the world does not understand. You sustain us and satisfy our souls for we do not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from You (Luke 4:4).
In the meantime His (Jesus) disciples urged Him, say “Rabbi, eat.” But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.”
Lord, You are our Bread of Life and our Living Water. Living in Your presence is our daily banquet. May we feast on Your word in fellowship together as we sing Your praises in a harmonious melody, a people who live their life with a festal shout!
You have a mighty arm; strong is your hand, high your right hand.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.
Blessed are the people who know the festal shout,
who walk, O Lord, in the light of your face, who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted.
For you are the glory of their strength;
by your favor our horn is exalted.
For our shield belongs to the Lord,
our king to the Holy One of Israel!
Faithful are You, O Lord. You are faithful and true. You fill our hearts with love. You fill our mouths with laughter. Even as You prepare our hands for war and our feet for the day of battle. Your Kingdom prevails over every kingdom. Your Word prevails over every word. For the kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdom of our God and of His Christ! (Revelation 11:15).
The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
So, we turn to You with all of our hearts and burst out in songs of thanksgiving. We give You all that we are and all that we have. We hold nothing back from You, for You hold nothing back from us. Together, we look to the Son and rejoice in our salvation!
